Quest of Life
Quest of life
Life is akin to a pendulum,
Moves to and fro,
Man loses focus of where to go,
How do I survive with my muddy hands?
Man becomes hopeless,
Unending struggles dine with darkness,
Tho, there are bountiful days,
That gives man a heart of praise.
In the quest, on me was a garment,
Danced to the home of torment,
I sat and weighed my thought,
Clueless as I sought!
Strived for an answer,
Until I ate the fruit,
Like the beginning of downfall!
Right there in the garden of Eden.
'Nothing left,' I whispered,
What then is a life that looks shattered?
Heart of man suffocates in the search,
Forgetting life can't be bought by cash.
Vanity is insanity,
I left God, I walked in vain,
My stupidity brought upon me calamity,
I left Him, I searched in vain.
The gate makes away at the sight of His light,
He is the way, the truth, and the life.
No wonder I failed in my pride,
God is life, the bread of life.
