"We are We"
We all could speak life
into the flesh of our existence
If we could be in the same sphere
With the flaws of ourselves
We weren't to be this lost.
We were 'Us'
Before we alleged to be Them
Their ways weren't our way
But we love to be 'Whites'
Knowing fully well their lies.
There's power in our altars
Still, we let go of our shrines
And scooted the ways of the Whites
that brought us to these sinful days.
Oh! Sin days indeed.
We shamed our ancestry
by looking after civilization
anything about our culture
Becomes old-fashioned in our
timid minds.
Let's turn back and be Us
If we want to live,
Black is adapting than white
Creation wasn't a clod when
He made us blacks.
We were beautifully made
And we are Africans
We are black
Black is our birthright.
